ProgeSOFT.US Donates ProgeCAD Software to Australian High School
ProgeSOFT.US (www.progesoft.us), in cooperation with ProgeSOFT s.a.s., Como, Italy, is coordinating the donation of ProgeCAD 2006 Professional CAD software to the Swan High School, in Perth, Western Australia.
Portland, OR, USA (PRWEB) May 11, 2006 -- Swan View Senior High School situated in the foothills of Perth Western Australia caters to over 800 secondary school students. The school has the largest Indigenous population in the Perth metropolitan area. The school has a strong Technology focus and has earned a reputation for excellence through its Vocational Education and Training (VET) Programs which assist students in engage in the workforce. The CAD computer lab is accessed by over 250 students each year. Subjects such as Architecture and Engineering prepare students for their design future.
Their future now includes ProgeCAD 2006 Professional, the latest IntelliCAD software from ProgeSOFT, including a library manager for discipline specific symbols, ACIS solid modeling, raster image support, rendering, and a unique set of tools that only ProgeSOFT offers. ProgeCAD software supports the DWG design file format, from version 2.5 through 2006, plus support for AutoCAD® menus, scripts, blocks, and AutoLISP®.
“We are excited to offer industry standard CAD to our students”, said Mike Trlin, Head of Technology and Enterprise Learning Area. “This donation will help equip our lab with industry standard applications our students can use to prepare for careers in the design industries”.
In addition to the lab of over 25 computers, progeSOFT is also donating a copy of progeCAD 2006 Professional for off campus use to each student attending a design class requiring progeCAD software.
