Renowned TV Makeover Designer to 'Takeover' HGTV

Designer Kelli Ellis to appear on "Takeover My Makeover" on HGTV. Ellis and her crew redesign themed rooms, in which the homeowner gone off course in their "themed room makeover."

Kelli Ellis, star of TLC's makeover show "Clean Sweep," will be a central designer for HGTV's (Home and Garden's Television) latest edition "Takeover my Makeover." The show will premiere Saturday, May 6th at 7pm Eastern and Pacific Time and Ellis' HGTV debut will be on May 13th.

The premise of the one hour series is to refocus, reorganize and redesign a “themed” room in which the homeowners have lost control of the style and design they crave. An expert team, headed by Ellis' talent, turns the room from a dreaded disaster to designer chic. Ellis’ team works together with the homeowner and the strict budget of just $2,000, to make the homeowners vision a reality.

Ellis' numerous room transformations have received raves from coast to coast, not excluding her most recent accomplishment with HGTV which has people lining up to get the chance at having a touch of Ellis' flare in their home. Ellis is known for her multi-media consultations that include features in home improvement "how to" books, radio shows and appearances on such prominent programs as the Jane Pauley Show (NBC). Her aptitude for design is in such high demand that Ellis recently released the "Kelli Kit" to aid amateur designers with home projects ideas and techniques, and is now available online at http://www.kelliellis.com/.

Ellis, president and CEO of Kelli Ellis Interiors Inc., has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Marketing from California State University at Fullerton. Ellis followed her passion and graduated from Interior Design Institute located in Newport Beach, California. She now resides with her two daughters in Orange County.
