Traci J. Couts has joined Bizresearch, Inc., (http://bizresearch.com) as vice president of operations, the company announced today.
Couts will focus on client growth and retention, company operations and client services for the search engine marketing company and will cultivate new relationships that expand the company’s national client base.
“Traci brings more than 15 years of high technology market development and operations experience to this new position,” said Laura Thieme, founder and president of Bizresearch. “Our near-term focus is to accelerate the growth of our business, and Traci will be an integral part of executing that strategy.”
Thieme said she plans to draw on Couts’ business operations experience to put processes in place that will facilitate company growth. Bizresearch tripled its Worthington office space and increased staff last year in response to more demand for the company’s search engine optimization and web site marketing services.
“As companies scrutinize their web sites’ return on investment, they look for ways to enhance site performance,” said Couts. “Bizresearch provides the online marketing expertise to help drive traffic to their sites. As a former Bizresearch client myself, I plan to strengthen what is already a strong client orientation and ensure that service levels remain equally strong.”
Couts joins Bizresearch from OPENonline, a national business-to-business web-based employment screening and investigative research service, where she was director of sales and marketing. During her 12-year tenure at the Columbus office, Couts managed a variety of areas including marketing, sales, account management and customer service. She also played a key role in product development and user interface design.
Prior to OPENonline, Couts served as a marketing manager for Sterling Commerce, a major e-commerce software provider in Columbus. In her capacity at Sterling, she was responsible for strategic marketing support for several e-commerce products.
Couts is a member of the American Marketing Association and the Direct Marketing Association. Couts’ educational background includes extended studies at Franklin University and the Advanced Marketing Research Institute of Boston.
