Business Loan Quest Helps Entrepreneurial Development

New Policies Will Encourage New Businesses

Cary, NC (PRWEB) May 12, 2006 -- Business Loan Quest (BLQ) has taken a prominent position in the Access to Capital working group, organized at the recent 2006 North Carolina Entrepreneurship Policy Summit. This group will be a major part of crafting policies to strengthen entrepreneurial development in communities throughout the state. The group will meet from May 2006 through spring 2007 to develop specific policy recommendations to present to NC state and local governments and business leaders, endorsing changes to make North Carolina an even better place to start and operate small business.

“It is time for rural communities to realize the power of the Internet,” said Marina Lando, president of Business Loan Quest. “For many of new entrepreneurs, the funding is just one click away. With over four thousand financial sources and network of trusted partners like business plan writers, CPAs, lawyers, franchise consultants, and the Triangle Solution Alliance (an NC based virtual business incubator) BLQ is well positioned to help almost every business owner.”

BLQ has already assisted in such projects. For example, BLQ recently helped fund the purchase and expansion of a rural senior care facility. Local banks had refused to finance the transaction, preferring more secured properties like apartment buildings. BLQ reworked the loan package for presentation, and received a commitment letter within twenty-four hours. The community benefited from the seven new permanent jobs created.

The 2006 North Carolina Entrepreneurship Policy Summit, held 19 April 2006, focused on the need for North Carolina to further develop the local economy to survive. Homegrown jobs are crucial to building this economy, and small business requires a greater level of attention as policies are developed. Fully seventy percent (70%) of all new jobs are generated by small business expansion. The fundamental problem, however, is lack of funding. Capital is difficult to obtain, particularly in rural areas.
