Mount Airy, NC (PRWEB) May 15, 2006 –-
Young fiction writers C J and Tabitha Edwards announce the release of their new sci-fi novel, “StarKazar and the Mysterious Happenings,” in conjunction with Lulu (http://www.lulu.com), the world’s fastest-growing provider of print-on-demand books.
“StarKazar and the Mysterious Happenings” (http://www.starkazar.com) is the first in a series of books dealing with the adventures of Aaron Zelos and his friends, as they search the cosmos. In a writing style uniquely their own, C J and Tabitha combine humor, action and drama that keep readers engaged from page one.
“Once you start reading, you just can stop,” according to "StarZazar" readers, Nancy, Corey, Gaynel and Tony.
Even though Tabitha and C J are relatively young, 14 and 15 respectively, they are not new to writing. The pair released a previous novel through Lulu, “Charlie X.”
Their new book, “StarKazar and the Mysterious Happenings.” is written from the perspective of 15-year-old Aaron Zelos, an average boy, except for a white mole on his back. Aaron's mother, Charlotte Zelos, is still mourning over the death of Lazarus, her husband and Aaron’s father. She is unbalanced and unapproachable despite Aaron's attempts to reach her. Aaron, like most teenagers, learns to deal with bullies and troublemakers, and because he has abilities from another world, he dishes out his own brand of revenge.
Throughout the book Aaron develops bonding relationships with his friends. We learn that, in Aaron’s world, size and gender do not matter. During different events, a soccer game, a trip to the museum, Ms. Silver’s accident, and his match with a powerful alien, that girls can do just as well or better than boys and that power does not always come from size. Aaron experiences his first kiss and discovers through a previously unknown family relation, Ethel Wingard, how he performs his abilities, and finds that assumptions and rumors are not always true.
About C J and Tabitha Edwards' previous release, “Charlie X”:
This novel goes beyond the sci-fi or fantasy genres, asking the question "why can’t people treat each other with dignity?" The lead character of the book, Charlie Parker, faces bullying from the time he was a young boy into his adulthood, until a rock from outer space transforms the small man into a giant. Charlie grows to an enormous size, beyond the point where his loving wife and children are able to care for him. The story poignantly deals with the issues of respect and dignity and has received rave reviews from young and old alike.
