9th Annual Carnaval Carolina, the Largest Hispanic Festival in the Carolinas
Carnaval Carolina is a celebration of culture, where participants can immerse themselves in the music, dance and cuisine of the Hispanic culture. Many audience members and artists alike feel pride in being able to be a part of an event that this is putting their culture front and center on stage. International and national award winning artists, local artists, live music and great food attract families from across the region to this unique event. Through the years, Carnaval Carolina has grown in popularity and International recognition by the Spanish media. It has become an exciting venue to showcase the rich, colorful and proud Hispanic heritage.
The main stage will feature renowned artists from Mexico, Latin America, Caribbean and the United States. The second stage will showcase performances by local talent.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) May 12, 2006 -- The 9th Annual Carnaval Carolina, the largest Hispanic festival in the Carolinas will take place on the grounds of the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC on Sunday, June 18th.
Created in 1998 in an effort to bring the Latino community together in an entertainment and family atmosphere, Carnaval Carolina has grown both in attendance and recognition by the national and international Spanish media. In 2005, attendance at Carnaval was over 63,000. The success of the event is due to the showcase of award winning, top Hispanic artists from Mexico, Caribbean, Latin America and the United States.
This year Carnaval Carolina will feature La Patrulla 81 playing its contagious "Pasito Durangense"; Rock sensation, Gloria Trevi; soap opera actor, Fernando Colunga; comedians Nacasia - Nacaranda and La Guareja. Salsa's newest sensation, Luisito Rosario; Salazar Band, Control, Carlos Calderon and many many more. Over 30 performers will grace the main stage. A second stage will feature local talent.
Carnaval Carolina will also feature lots of great food, arts and craft vendors, sponsor exhibits and amusement rides. The event will end with a magnificent firework display.
