“This new Q-Config product release will make it easy for users of Documentum Compliance Manager to upgrade to 5.3 SP2, which is the latest version” said Mr. John Nidelcheff, President. “We are responding to an urgent need of the EMC Documentum user community for Q-Config™, so that they can stay current with Service Pack releases from EMC as they work through complex migrations from EMC Documentum 4i or CS 5.x.”
Mr. Nidelcheff went on to say that Impact would offer new production tools for the next release of EMC Documentum Submission Manager (DSM).
According to Michael Solomon, Impact Systems Project Manager, the new Q-Config release has the following added functionality in four important areas: (1) Restricted Access to Information, (2) ACL’s supporting Required Group sets, (3) Cabinets and folders including Private and Hidden information and (4) Audit Management.
As a stand-alone (“Shrink-wrapped”) product, Q-Config™ is currently priced at $35,000 per server, while the new annual subscription is list priced at $45,000 for a six-server package. A subscription license allows a customer in migration testing to have coverage on Development, Test, Production, Training and Departmental Servers without worries of additional updates as deployment continues this year.
