A new site where interesting and current information is presented and discussed has just launched. The site is a labor of love for its founder, Raoul Pop, who wants to compile an extensive collection of free information and resources for web users, presented in a format that’s easy to read, categorized and instantly searchable. You never know what information you’ll come across at ComeAcross.

What does an IT consultant with a name like Raoul Pop know about current events on topics like business, the environment, the economy, and politics? What does an avowed geek know about exercise, humor and new ideas and inventions?

Raoul Pop founded ComeAcross ( with the intention of putting together an extensive (and growing) collection of articles, guides and blog entries that he’s written for the past several years for multiple websites, in a single location, where everything can be easily found and used by as large an audience as possible. ComeAcross can be read in 9 languages other than English.

ComeAcross is a source of information on many topics that most people would enjoy reading and learning about. Call them Raoul Pop’s interests if you like, but they appeal to a wide audience. They're topics like art, culture, people, humor, computers/tech, government/politics, movies/TV, exercise, the environment, education, food/diet, ideas, discoveries, research, justice, rights, manners, nature, photos, rumors, shopping, etc. There are a fair amount of guides, reviews and commentaries, with photos that illustrate the points being made.

Raoul wants to allow the public to share their ideas on the topics presented, and engage in serious, objective discussions. He wants to do all this on a website that looks nice, has no annoying pop-ups, no flashing ads, and with real, original content. Raoul authored all of the content on ComeAcross, and he is writing more on a daily basis.

ComeAcross also has a Podcasts section, where the most interesting blog entries are picked and discussed. A Photos section will soon be built in order to share photos that Raoul has taken over the past several years. Other features are in the works as well.

Why is Raoul doing all this? It’s because he loves writing and enjoys sharing meaningful, interesting information and resources with others. He believes that useful, valuable information shouldn’t go by the wayside, and he wants to do his part to ensure this.
