Become A Famous Artist at Art-A-Whirl: Create and Show Your Own Unique Art Creation as Part of the 'A Thousand Beautiful Things' Community Art Installation at the Art of Chiropractic Office/Gallery

Add your own piece of art to the "A Thousand Beautiful Things" community-created art installation showing at the Art of Chiropractic office/gallery during the Art-a-Whirl open-studio and gallery tour in Northeast Minneapolis May 19-21.

Minneapolis, MN (PRWEB) May 13, 2006 -- As you peruse the Art-A-Whirl gallery tour, stop into the Art of Chiropractic office/gallery and create your own piece of art to add to the "A Thousand Beautiful Things" art installation.

"A Thousand Beautiful Things" is a growing art installation that connects people to the beautiful things in their lives," says graphic artist and founder, Jennifer Nelson.

The concept for the art installation began years ago when artist, Jennifer Nelson, began translating the beautiful things in her life as multimedia art placed on hundreds of small five-by-five inch canvases. That individual project has evolved into a growing community project with over a hundred works of art already created by community members.Nelson's ultimate goal is to create at least 1,000 of these "beautiful things" canvases and take the installation on tour with all proceeds going to charity.

Five-by-five inch canvases for the spontaneous "beautiful things" art creations will be on sale for $5 per canvas. Art supplies including magazines, watercolor pastels, scissors, and glue will be available for use free of charge on Saturday, May 20, from noon to 5 pm.

All proceeds from the project, through May 20, will go to Camp Sunfish, a Minnesota-based non-profit organization that provides a day and overnight camp for neglected and abused children.

About Art of Chiropractic:
Art of Chiropractic is a chiropractic office founded in 2000 by Dr. Kari Boudreau and Dr. Lori Pottebaum who have over 15 years of experience providing chiropractic care, x-ray, massage, rehabilitation, and acupuncture for patients of all ages. Because Art of Chiropractic believes in a holistic ecology view of humans and the environment as a single system, the office was designed by architect Ali Heshmati as both a chiropractic clinic and a rotating gallery of original art by local artists. The office, located in historic northeast Minneapolis, features a loft-like interior, separated into five treatment rooms by translucent white screens of fabric stretched and held by metal anchors attached to the ceiling. The screens buffer the separation from room to room and are the perfect backdrop for the rotating original art on display year-round.
