Sikh Religious Telecasts Expand in Asia Pacific

The programmes of Guru Nanak Daata Baksh Lai Mission, Chandigarh, which are being shown in the UK and Europe since November, 2005, will now be expanded in coverage to include the Asia Pacific. The programmes start telecast in the Asia Pacific from May 14, 2006. These will be available on the main “Zee TV” channel every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (Singapore Time) or 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. (IST).

(PRWEB) May 13, 2006 -- The programmes of Guru Nanak Daata Baksh Lai Mission, Chandigarh, which were being shown in the UK and Europe since November, 2005, will now be expanded in coverage to include the Asia Pacific area. The programmes start telecasting in the Asia Pacific from May 14, 2006. These programmes will be available on the main “Zee TV” channel every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. (Singapore Time) or 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. (Indian Standard Time).

ZEE International approached the Guru Nanak Daata Baksh Lai Mission after viewing its spiritual programmes on the Mission’s Web sites, with a request for telecasting the same abroad. The programmes were started on Alpha ETC Punjabi in the UK and Europe in November, 2005. Upon getting a most encouraging response from the audience in Europe, ZEE International wished these to be shown in the Asia Pacific area.

Consequently the holy spiritual renditions of Guru Nanak Daata Baksh Lai Mission, Chandigarh, will be telecast in the Asia Pacific region including Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Maldives, Philippines, Fiji Island, Thailand, Sri Lanka etc. from May 14.

The programmes are also being aired in the UK and Europe at the changed timing of 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. (UK Local Time) just after the Gurbani telecast from Golden Temple, Amritsar.

These programmes expand upon the spiritual material already authored by Brig. Partap Singh Jaspal (Retd.) on his renowned and world famous Web sites www.SriGuruGranthSahib.org, www.SriGuruNanakSahib.org, www.BabaNandSinghSahib.org, www.SikhVideos.org and www.Baisakhi1999.org. These Web sites have already won universal acclaim and are being projected by famous search engines like Yahoo and Google at the top. They have reached a figure of nearly 72 lakh hits and viewership in a very short span of time.
