Cell Phone Savvy; Users to Share Experiences at the MacGathering™
The 3rd annual MacGathering™ and new sub-theme, the SoHo Tech Show™ are opportunities to learn many things about your Mac and computer hardware. The Mac Cell Phone Birds of a Feather session will help users make their best choices of wireless carrier and phone models, as well as help people use their phones.
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 15, 2006 -- Cell phones bring us much freedom, but with them come a whole slew of decisions to make. Which carrier covers your area best? What phone model has the best features for you? And if you’re a Mac user, there are even more questions if you want to take advantage of syncing your address book and calendar with your Mac. Plus, there’s the question of using your cell phone as a modem.
Area coverage, numbers of minutes, phone features, OS compatibility, data plans... So many things to discover. The reality is that the only way to do much of this is to ask others for their experiences. This is why John R. Chang founded the Maccellphone list at Yahoo Groups — and why the MacGathering is hosting a Mac Cell Phone Birds of a Feather discussion at the next MacGathering in North Hollywood on the second day of the show.
Mac users have unique concerns regarding hooking up or syncing their phones so the focus of these issues is on the Mac. The broader issues of carriers, signal strength, and plans are of benefit to Windows and Linux users as well. All are welcome.
