Castle Brands Appoints Senior Level Executives Soden and Weinberg Join Spirits Supplier
Castle Brands Inc. (AMEX: ROX), international spirits supplier headquartered in New York, today announced the appointment of John Soden as International Managing Director and Seth B. Weinberg as Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
New York, NY (PRWEB) May 17, 2006 -– Castle Brands Inc. (AMEX: ROX), international spirits supplier headquartered in New York, today announced the appointment of John Soden as International Managing Director and Seth B. Weinberg as Senior Vice President and General Counsel.
As International Managing Director, Soden will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the Company’s international expansion strategies as well as the Company’s international sales and marketing activities. He will have full international P&L responsibility and will work closely with key corporate officers including the CFO to ensure that the Company’s plans and financial objectives are properly set and achieved.
Soden, most recently with Woodford Bourne, spent 13 years with Cantrell & Cochrane International, one of Ireland’s largest manufacturers and distributors of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. During his tenure at C&C, Soden gained experience in global brand marketing with particular focus in Europe, Scandinavia, Australia and Duty Free. He also spent several years building C&C’s brands in the US.
A native of Ireland, Soden received his Bachelor of Science degree at Trinity College Dublin and his MBA at University of California at Los Angeles. Soden is based in Castle Brands’ Dublin office.
In a newly created position, Seth Weinberg will be responsible for securities, finance and corporate governance issues and SEC reporting; mergers and acquisitions transactions; and international regulatory requirements and contracts including supply, distribution and marketing agreements.
Weinberg spent the last four years at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP in that firm’s corporate department where he was involved with a wide variety of transactions and corporate governance issues. Prior to that, he was with Dewey Ballantine LLP. Weinberg attended the University of Pennsylvania where he received his B.A., and the Columbia University School of Law where he received his J.D. Weinberg is based in the New York headquarters.
Soden and Weinberg will report to both Keith Bellinger, President and Chief Operating Officer, and Mark Andrews, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
