Barnes will head sales force for newly formed Professional Services Division of Looking Glass Systems and brings two decades of industry experience.

Newport Beach, CA May 15, 2006 -- Looking Glass Systems announced today that Stephan Barnes has joined the firm as VP of Sales for their newly formed Professional Services Division. Barnes, a heavyweight in the information security industry with over 20 years of experience, will use his talents to expand Looking Glass Systems' private-sector client base, build new business relationships, and help grow sales for the new consulting practice, announced May 1, 2006.

"Ask anyone that has worked with the man or been unlucky enough to be competing with him for an RFP and they'll tell you: if you want a giant to lead your sales force, you want Barnes," said Erik Pace Birkholz, President of Looking Glass Systems and most recently worked with Barnes at Foundstone until its acquisition by McAfee in October 2004. "With Barnes on our team, there is no limit to our success."

Birkholz has good reason to be confident; Barnes has considerable experience in growing a security consulting practice from the ground-up. Barnes recently departed Foundstone (now McAfee) in March 2006 after six years with the company, from its humble beginnings through an acquisition by McAfee and beyond. Barnes was the original VP of Sales at Foundstone and during its first 2 years of growth was meticulously involved in all aspects of the sales process for Foundstone during this critical growth stage.

"I knew before I was even asked who I wanted on my team," said Steven Andres, VP of Professional Services for Looking Glass Systems and most recently Chief Technology Officer for Special Ops Security. "I've worked with Stephan before and I know what he can accomplish. You just point Stephan at a target and say 'GO' and you don't think twice about it."

Barnes, widely known in the industry, was a contributing author for the internationally best-selling Hacking Exposed: Network Security Secrets & Solutions series. He authored chapters covering the little-known but powerful art of "war dialing" and PBX/voicemail hacking in the second, third, fourth, and fifth editions of Hacking Exposed.

Prior to joining Foundstone and working with both Birkholz and Andres, Barnes was a Senior Manager in the security consulting practices of Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young. Barnes has also been employed by Northrop Grumman and has worked on various classified Department of Defense "Black Ops" projects including the B-2 Stealth Bomber.
