With the number of everyday emergency situations, the threat of terrorism and natural disasters, and warnings of a flu pandemics arising, the need for a worldwide emergency notification system has never been greater.
British paramedic, Bob Brotchie, whose idea gained massive global publicity after the London bombings in July last year, is working exclusively with Atlanta-based company ICE USA, Inc. to provide a more robust solution to solely relying on your cell phone.
The Official ICE™, standing for In Case of Emergency, began as a way of storing emergency notification information in your cell phone.
“We realized there would be some circumstances where the cell phone battery was low, someone didn’t carry one or it was destroyed in an accident,” Bob said. “But we also wanted to provide a totally secure solution, which is how the membership program came about.”
The ICE Membership Program is designed to compliment the original ICE concept, by allowing families and individuals of all ages to store pertinent medical information, including any allergies, or conditions, religious expressions, or donor requests, and the names of up to four emergency contacts in our secure database. Each ICE member is issued his or her own personal unique identification number for security and privacy. This identification number is located on each official form of ICE identification, these including: key fobs, decals, and cards.
The ICE™ 24/7 centralized call center operates 365 days a year and is answered by highly trained personnel. All calls are verified for authenticity of the situation. Once this is established ICE will then release the ICE Member’s provided information to the first responder for immediate aide to the situation, while the ICE operators begin the process of contacting the ICE Members loved ones.
ICE USA, Inc. together with Mr. Brotchie officially announce the launch of the US and Canada website, http://www.icecontactusa.com ICE USA, Inc. will cater to the needs and services of the people of the United States, Canada, US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, while providing world-wide protection through the ICE™ In Case of Emergency Network.
