TrialStat Corporation today announced the appointment of Gene Clouse as Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Clouse has a proven track record developing and managing customer facing teams for technology companies, and will be responsible for all of TrialStat’s worldwide business development activities.

Prior to joining TrialStat, Mr. Clouse was at Borland Software where he managed a team of 10 that generated $28 million in license revenue in 2005, an increase of close to 100% from 2004. At TrialStat, Mr. Clouse’s role will be to grow the company’s domestic and global business development activities.

In his more than 23 years of technology experience, Mr. Clouse has held senior sales and management positions at Borland Software, Macromedia, WebGain, Symantec Corporation and Xerox Corp. As Sales Director for commercial sales, Eastern United States for MacroMedia, he was able, within a single fiscal quarter, to turn around a sales team which had missed quotas for two years, to a team that then experienced four straight quarters of growth. While at WebGain, Mr. Clouse grew the U.S. business from $10 million to more than $50 million in license revenues and developed a world class sales organization of more than 60 staff. In recognition, he received the inaugural 2000 Leadership Award of the worldwide sales organization. This acknowledged exemplary sales management leadership, motivation and team building, and is awarded to the top world-wide manager of sales persons.
Mr. Clouse holds a BA in economics and history, graduating cum laude from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and an MBA in finance and accounting from the University of Pittsburg.
