Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) May 22, 2006
In the summer of 2005, the producers of "Metric Revolution" conducted a nation-wide search for the "best of the best" custom motorcycle builders in the United States. After narrowing the field from literally thousands of entries, twenty-two contestants were selected to compete in three categories -- Cruisers, Sportbike, and the "Rookies".
Last October, each contestant was given brand new stock "metric" motorcycles; i.e. Triumph, Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda and Kawasaki to convert to the most outrageous custom designs in only 180 days. Why metric bikes? Although they make up almost 80% of the motorcycles on the road today, the American society has yet to embrace the foreign manufactures on a "revolutionary" scale.
"We are thrilled to be working with the William Morris Agency," said Danielle Spandau, Executive Producer of the "Metric Revolution". "This relationship is the culmination of two years of exhausting creative research. To be embraced by this legendary firm only reiterates and confirms that the metric motorcycle industry will finally get the notoriety it deserves."
This July, the "Metric Revolution US TV Tour" http://www.metrictv.com will travel the nation's highways visiting all 22 builders' home towns to tape their shops, families, and friends. The tour will conclude this September in Las Vegas, as the contestants gather on Fremont Street http://www.vegasexperience.com during Las Vegas Bikefest http://www.lasvegasbikefest.com to unveil their custom works of art.
