Da Vinci Code Like Mystery at Bronto Software
Bronto mascot found slain, mysterious clue addressed to ‘Da Vinci Coders’ left at the scene.
Durham, NC (PRWEB) May 19, 2006 -- The inflatable mascot nicknamed “Big Bronto” of Bronto Software, Inc., a leading online email marketing software company headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, was found around 12:48 pm today in the courtyard of the American Tobacco Campus where the company is located. The dinosaur’s throat was cut and it was -- well, deflated.
Fortunately Joe Colopy, CEO, confirmed that Big Bronto was not dead and its injuries were treatable.
Bronto was notified of the crime when a nervous security guard interrupted a company meeting with the news. Curious employees gathered at the crime scene where an envelope addressed to members of the company’s engineering department -- referred to as ‘Da Vinci Coders’ in the enclosed message -- was uncovered from beneath Big Bronto. Inside a mysterious poem referenced a “journey…Fourteen moons and five clues away.” According to Thad Parker, director of engineering, “The note also seemed to imply that this may be the first of other clues to come, and directed us to watch ‘the movie’ at 3:33 on Tuesday.” Notably a pentagram was also chalked onto the sidewalk at the scene.
Parker’s team of software engineers have been working long hours over the last few months on a new Bronto product release scheduled to go live on May 29, 2006. “The note also said something about deciphering the puzzle to find fun. So what I really hope is that there is some kind of reward at the end,” he commented.
The entire clue read as follows:
Stirred my forgotten spirit with long hours now
Slaughtered the bronto like a disgraced cow
Must begin the journey that you start today
Fourteen moons and five clues away
The path of the clues starts with one
Decipher the puzzle for the objective of fun
Live up to the life of a Da Vinci Coder
The next clue comes to you when you are older
Watching "the movie" on Tuesday at three thirty-three
Journeyman will approach you with the key

Coincidentally, four framed portraits mysteriously appeared on the walls of the Bronto office this morning according to employees. The black and white prints appeared to be decades and maybe even centuries old, but none of the Bronto employees could identify the people portrayed.
