The Second Annual Canadian Summit on Food Safety

This event offers an opportunity to exchange ideas and solutions for food safety concerns, such as Avian Flu, Allergens, food recalls and new regulations with respected industry professionals and government leaders.

TORONTO (PRWEB) May 21, 2006 - Solutions to improve safety standards, reduce costs and meet new industry regulations is the focus of The Second Annual Canadian Summit on Food Safety, commencing June 6th, 2006, at The Hilton Suites Toronto/Markham Conference Centre & Spa, 8500 Warden Avenue.

Avian Flu, Allergens and BSE are some of the major health concerns confronting the general population. This event will bring together leaders within government and industry and provide the answers to these and other food safety issues. The summit supported by Canadian Food Safety Management and Guelph Food technology Centre.

The guest speakers to be in attendance include Dr. Samuel Benrejeb, Director, Bureau of Chemical Safety, Food Directorate, Health Canada, Dr. Deborah Stark, Chief Veterinarian of Ontario, Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, Dr. Canice Nolan, Head of Food Safety, Health & Consumer Affairs Sections, Delegation of the European Commission (Washington, D.C.) and Eric Couture, Assistant Attache for Trade Operations, US Customs and Border Protection Department.

The 2nd Annual Canadian Summit on Food Safety is produced by Strategy Institute, an independent North American, research-based organization that monitors and communicates changes and trends to government and industry leaders.
