DoubleStar, Inc., a leading provider of workforce analytic solutions, today announced the company’s Chief Strategist, Joanne Bintliff-Ritchie, has been appointed to the Society of Human Resources Management’s (SHRM) Human Capital Measurement/HR Metrics Special Expertise panel. With more than 25 years of experience in the HR industry, Bintliff-Ritchie was awarded the honor to serve a three year term as member of the Human Capital Measurement/HR Metrics panel based on her thought leadership in the area of human capital metrics and measurement.

DoubleStar’s Bintliff-Ritchie will participate in conjunction with 14 other Human Capital Measurement/HR Metrics panel members to help provide the human resource profession as well as SHRM membership and staff with current and emerging practices, advice, and expertise on all methods and tools needed to quantify HR decision making in order to maximize human capital for improved business results. The panel will meet twice a year and cover a wide variety of human capital metrics and HR measurement issues ranging from scorecards to best practices in measuring human capital. Panel members will conduct their first in-person meeting from June 24-25th, 2006 at the SHRM Annual Conference & Exposition in Washington, DC. The second meeting will take place in November at the SHRM Leadership Conference in Arlington, VA.

As a SHRM panel member, Bintliff-Ritchie’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•Serving as subject matter expert for SHRM on topics related to human capital metrics and HR measurement

•Identifying emerging trends in area of expertise for inclusion in an annual report to the SHRM Board

•Responding to deliverables identified by SHRM staff to include: providing current and emerging practices, advice and expertise to SHRM; providing public policy guidance to SHRM; producing white papers and contributing to virtual forums and other online content

•Acting as an internal consultant on HR content to SHRM staff

•Representing SHRM as a spokesperson as appropriate

Joanne Bintliff-Ritchie has a strong background as an HR executive as well as extensive experience in HR management, technology transformation, organizational effectiveness, mergers/acquisitions/divestitures/joint ventures, change management, team dynamics, staffing, employee relations, and leadership development. In her current role as chief strategist, Bintliff-Ritchie is responsible for directing product strategy related to DoubleStar’s Workforce Solutions practice including the Workforce Insight suite – DoubleStar’s leading workforce analytics solution. She frequently speaks at leading HR events including ASMI, SHRM and IHRIM’s HRM Strategies conference.

The 2006-2009 panel nominees were selected through referrals of staff and volunteers and leveraged the new Volunteer Opportunities Center, a comprehensive recruitment and selection process that assists in the identification of panel members and allows SHRM to broadly announce panel positions. Those nominated were considered by a Panel Selection Committee composed of volunteer leaders who submitted slates for each panel to the Governance Committee of the SHRM Board for review and approval. Other SHRM Special Expertise Panels focus on areas of human resources including Organizational Development, Technology & HR Management and Workforce Staffing and Deployment.
