Florida Slot Machine Industry to Create Thousands of New Jobs at Four Pari-mutuel Facilities in Broward County

Boca Raton, Florida (PRWEB) May 22, 2006 -- On Tuesday, May 23rd, 2006 the Department of Business Professional Regulation’s Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering will hold a hearing to review the pending slot machine regulations. If the proposed rules are accepted without any challenges, the adopted regulations will go into effect by June 25, 2006.
“On March 8th, 2005 the voters of Broward County passed a referendum to allow slot machines at four pari-mutuels in Broward County” explained Eric Rahn, President of casino operational consulting firm Rahn & Associates. “This hearing will put forth the proposed rules and regulations of how the industry will be regulated by the State of Florida.”
Three of the four Broward County approved pari-mutuel sites have announce their multi-million dollar facility upgrades to accommodate the new slot machine industry. These facilities are gearing up to fill thousands of newly created jobs to run these adult entertainment centers. With the passing of the slot machine referendum, the horse racing industry, dog racing industry and Jai Li Frontons are assured continued employment, growth and prosperity.
Mardi Gras (Hollywood Greyhound) and Gulf Stream Park are ready to open in August, while Dania Jai Li and Pompano Park are schedule to open in the 1st quarter of 2007. The combination racetrack casino facilities are commonly called [racinos.
