TORONTO and BOSTON (PRWEB) May 23, 2006 –- Avotus Corporation, the leading provider of communications expense management (TEM) and e-Procurement solutions, today announced that a Fortune 500 semiconductor manufacturing company is using Avotus Intelligent Communications Management™ (ICM) to help manage global wireless Internet access for 7,000 employees. The three-year contract follows the company’s successful completion of an Avotus e-Procurement project to source and negotiate contracts for voice and data communications. Avotus e-Procurement is specifically designed for communications procurements to automate the RFP process and facilitate contract management.
The company relies on iPass and the AT&T global WiFi network to support remote workers with corporate network services. The contracts have dozens of terms based on location, usage and time units. The suppliers’ billing systems perform complex calculations to reconcile actual usage with the contracts. The hosted Avotus ICM service audits and verifies invoices to ensure compliance with terms. Avotus ICM is used to reconcile bills and report usage and cost data to responsible managers. The information is used to manage ongoing expenses and charge backs. Avotus Web-based reports will also provide insights for future contract negotiations.
