Topics Education to Present at Cause Marketing Forum

Annual Forum to Promote Cause Marketing for Businesses and Nonprofits.

Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) May 23, 2006 -- Topics Education, an education outreach consulting firm, will lead a presentation on cause marketing in schools at the fourth annual Cause Marketing Forum, to be held June 12-14, 2006 in New York, N.Y. The presentation will spotlight client Black Entertainment Television’s Rap-It-Up HIV/AIDS education campaign and will demonstrate appropriate ways to produce corporate-supported programs that meet school needs while building powerful cause brand awareness.

“Impressed with the strength of last year’s agenda and attendee list, we have increased our participation in this year’s Forum,” stated Phelps Sprinkle, president and CEO of Topics Education. “If you look at the rising interest in corporate-sponsored causes, and you look at all the funding issues facing public education, it’s obvious that there is a great opportunity and need for more corporate engagement in education. We support those efforts. In fact, we’ve been helping organizations help education for over 10 years.”

Topics Education co-founder and vice president for creative strategy, Bruce Nofsinger will present information about Topics Education’s education-oriented niche within the field of cause marketing. In a featured afternoon session, he will partner with Sonya Lockett, vice president of public affairs of Black Entertainment Television, and Julia Davis, associate director US programs, Entertainment Media Partnerships for the Kaiser Family Foundation, to discuss the Rap-It-Up in-school curriculum developed and marketed by Topics Education to promote HIV/AIDS awareness in classrooms throughout the United States.

“During our session I’ll bring a perspective on education outreach and share some of the lessons learned through the years,” added Nofsinger. “Our partners from BET and the Kaiser Family Foundation should provide an engaging look at how a project like Rap-It-Up can not only impact youth, but influence behaviors.”

The Cause Marketing Forum will be held June 12-14, 2006, at the Marriott Marquis in New York, N.Y. For more information about the Cause Marketing Forum, visit www.causemarketingforum.com.
