The Small Town Poker Tour, the world’s largest amateur poker tour, has announced a special online event to kick off the search for the world’s number one amateur poker player. The event will be held Saturday May 27 at their online partner Noble Poker.
“We are very excited about this event”, stated Mark Fracalossi Executive Producer of the tour. “Many players from around the world will not be able to attend our land based events, but our partnership with Noble Poker will help us reach players in all parts of the world”, Fracalossi added. The event will be leg one of a series of events leading up to the STPT World Amateur Finals to be held in Las Vegas.
The STPT travels the world searching for the number amateur poker player out there; The STPT also lends its hand behind the scenes in many high profile charity, corporate and celebrity events. "We work with many celebrities and charities who want to use poker as a tool to raise money for their cause. We can do an event for 10 or 1000," Fracalossi said.
Upcoming Events include the Small Town Poker Tour Baltic Championships, with stops in Denmark, Sweden and Estonia. The STPT will hold a series of Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournaments at Indian casinos across the USA. Proceeds from the tournaments will benefit the North American Indigenous Games. The North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) celebrates the sport and culture of indigenous peoples across North America. Recognized by the Aboriginal Peoples and Governments of Canada along with Tribal nations throughout the U.S., the 2006 North American Indigenous Games will take place July 2 – 9, 2006 in Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
