Latina entrepreneur Nancy Marmolejo finds heartfelt recognition as the recipient of numerous awards this month, including the Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Hispanic Business Women's Association.

This month Latina entrepreneur and Comadre Coaching founder Nancy Marmolejo is being honored by several organizations for her contributions to the Latino community. These honors include induction in the OC Latino 100 (the 100 most inspiring and influential Latinos in Orange County, CA), the award of Small Business Entrepreneur of the Year by the National Hispanic Business Women’s Association (NHBW), nomination for Business Woman of the Year by the Orange County Business Journal, and nomination for Emerging Latina by the National Latina Business Women's Association of Orange County. The NHBW Entrepreneur of the Year award will be given at a gala banquet June 10 at the Hyatt Regency Orange County.

Marmolejo has dedicated the past three years to helping Latinas succeed in business and life with a culturally authentic approach to business coaching. After leaving a career in teaching to build her own business, Nancy’s unique blend of creativity, savvy, and down to earth advice has helped hundreds of women improve their businesses, get clear on priorities, and make space in their lives for family, fun, and personal enrichment.

The time is right for supporting Latina entrepreneurs. According to the Center for Women’s Business Research, Latina owned businesses increased by 63.9% from 1997 to 2002. With so many Latinas entering the world of entrepreneurship, Marmolejo wants to help them achieve success without having to sacrifice their lives or their happiness. “I see too many Latinas trying to do it all, and one of the biggest focus areas of coaching has to do with attaining a sense of balance,” says Marmolejo, a professionally trained coach. “As entrepreneurs, our job requires us to think creatively and be visionaries. We can’t be visionaries if we’re putting ourselves in charge of tasks that can be delegated.”

To address the needs of Latina entrepreneurs, Marmolejo created The Comadre Coaching Inner Circle Program. For $47 a month, business owners gain access to coaching, expert advice, discounts, and a vault of business building tools. After conducting a survey of over 400 women, she found that most wanted affordable resources with lasting impact. Information on the Inner Circle Program can be found at ComadreCoaching.com.
