The one-of-a-kind, gogo Kidz Travelmate by Go-Go Babyz was awarded the 2006 JPMA Innovation award. The gogo Kidz converts the best selling toddler car seats into a two wheeled stroller with the turn of two scews.

gogo Kidz Travelmate – invented and designed by parents – was awarded the prestigious 2006 JPMA Innovation Award for their second patented product, the gogo Kidz Travelmate.

The gogo Kidz Travelmate is a unique product that converts the best selling toddler, convertible and booster car seats into a two-wheeled stroller. Features include a one-handed telescoping handle and five inch “razor” wheels that provide a smooth, quite ride on sidewalks and through the airports. Parents easily push or pull their children in their car seats through the airport and to their final destination, eliminating the need to hand carry their heavy car seat or rent one.

The 2006 JPMA Innovation Awards, held annually at the International JPMA Show, highlight some of the most innovative new products in the show. Every year, more than 100 companies take part in the event and receive local and national media coverage.

The panel of judges, consisting of industry buyers and consumer and trade media representatives, evaluate each product on five criteria:

Innovation (Is it a new and/or unusual concept or feature?)

Marketability (Will it sell?)

Trend Setting Potential (Will it influence future products?)

Appeal (Is it attractive? Does it reflect current fashion trends?)

Usefulness (Is it designed for practical use?)

Originally designed specifically for the Britax car seats, the gogo Kidz has been redesigned to accommodate the majority of toddler car seats on the market. With a simple turn of two screws, the gogo Kidz can easily be mounted or removed from the car seat; allowing a parent to effortlessly attach the gogo Kidz even with a sleeping child restrained in the car seat.

Go-Go Babyz Corporation was formed in 2003 by a first time mother and her mechanical engineer father who have designed, patented and brought the gogo Kidz to the market, providing a solution to parents traveling with their young ones.

A parent traveling alone is already highly stressed traveling with one child and if he/she has two; the task can be completely overwhelming. Bringing the car seat on board the airplane could be the 20-pound straw that breaks the camels back.

“There are things a parent can do to make their job easier,” says Kerry Williams, a San Jose mother of two and Co-Founder of Go-Go Babyz. “By attaching the gogo Kidz, a single parent can still manage to easily maneuver through the airport with their child, a diaper back-pack and still hold the airplane ticket in one hand while pushing their child in their car seat with their other hand. If a parent decides not to by the extra seat on the plane, the gogo Kidz can easily be checked at the gate with the car seat and even picked up at the gate and used during lay overs. Depending on the needs at the destination, the gogo Kidz also can eliminate the need to bring a separate stroller on the trip.”

The gogo Kidz is a one-of-a-kind product that can be found at many specialty retail stores and online. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $89.00.
