East served as the on-staff consultant and Director of Marketing/U.S. for more than eight years and will now implement new strategies, programs and product development as part of his responsibilities. East has a unique perspective as someone who has worked in professional audio for more than twenty years as a front-of-house engineer, monitor engineer, tour manager as well as his roots as a touring musician. While performing, East had the opportunity to select the best sounding earphone product for his own applications, ultimately leading him to Future Sonics through his front-of-house engineer who had introduced him to the concept.
East's own consulting firm had offered marketing, promotion and production consulting for the music industry after his decision to discontinue extended touring in 1998. His personal and professional relationships with all aspects on the music industry go with him to his new position with Future Sonics.
