Gizmo.Net – Make Friends Because it's No Fun Playing with Yourself

The next MySpace? Advanced new social netoworking site, Gizmo.Net provides users with incredibly easy page creation. Adults are flocking to the site, leaving the kids behind at old social network destinations.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 24, 2006 -- www.Gizmo.net is a new social network with unique offerings, unique financing.

Social Networking, once thought to be a fad or a gimmick, may be poised to revolutionize the Internet. With the possibilities of vast user-created content and nearly limitless interconnecting webs of friends, business acquaintances and associates, social networking is poised to become one of the most popular attractions on the Internet.

Gizmo.net, the newest “social network” to hit the Internet, boasts several new and exciting features specifically designed to let users create their content faster, simpler and with much better results than have been previously possible.

Says Gizmo.net founder Manny Coats, “Most social networking sites look for one thing – members. Unfortunately, many of them seem to be spending their resources on getting those members, but forgetting about the most important thing – the user experience. From the start, Gizmo.net was envisioned and designed to be something different. Our core value is usability and innovation, and to that end we have created a system that allows users to create a personal space that looks great and works well with a fraction of the effort that most other sites can. We start and end with the user experience. Period. Some competing sites just can’t do this efficiently without starting from scratch.”

Among the things that set Gizmo.net apart, Coats is particularly proud of the ability for a user to easily create fantastic looking profiles without having to leave the site to hunt for codes. Coats continues, “I challenge anybody to go to MySpace and create in 1 hour what you can create in 10 minutes on Gizmo.Net. Unless you are a programmer, it's nearly impossible to do without leaving their site, hunting for code, going back, and so forth. At Gizmo.Net, it's so simple. You can easily customize everything about your profile page. Add photo blurbs to a friend’s photos, create an online journal, create and administer your own conversation forums, search through your old schools for classmates, and do it all much easier than you can on competing sites.”

Perhaps the most amazing thing about Gizmo.net is that everything has been done with a team a fraction the size of most competing sites, and all of this while being self funded. Gizmo.net is proof positive that realistic, carefully constructed goals can create a solid business plan capable of competing with nearly anyone. “Do we need or even want outside funding?” Coats muses. “We’ve had discussions, but so far no one has brought an offer of partnership that meets our standards as far as focus and innovation go. But the door is always open for those who wish to discuss being a part of the next big thing.” Coats concludes.

Gizmo.net has been in development since late 2005 and has just been released to the public.
