The Pomodoro Cucina Italiana Restaurant in Woodland Hills, CA hosts a new enterprise on Saturday, May 27, 2006 when single mothers, friends and supporters join Marcella Berry, founder of the Successful Single Moms Global Network, www.successfulsinglemomsglobalnetwork.com to celebrate.
As a single mother of two sons, ages 6 and 16, Marcella looked for ways to make life easier, so that the time spent with her children meant something. On her journey she discovered a missing ingredient when people talked about Single Mothers, Success.
“Single Moms head 1 in 4 families in the United States. When you look at the research on Single Mothers, it’s all doom and gloom. Single Moms tend to have higher rates of poverty, stress and daily activities. What I couldn’t find was anyone teaching us how to be successful. If you asked any one of us, we’d tell you ‘don’t tell us how hard it is, tell us how to succeed.’ So I decided I would be the one to lead the charge and tell Single Moms everywhere, look at what you do everyday. You are living Success, now let’s work together to make the journey easier,” states Marcella.
Berry, a master organizer, has created a network that shares successes, strategies, ideas and support to women online. She is the author of a new CD, Success Strategies- Getting Focused and Taking Action, which one of the core principles of Success.
