Wisconsin Sexual Violence Programs Serving Children, Receive Boost From Former West Point Staffer And Cow, Pulling In Over $27,000

Cow Country Enterprises, an international company based in Appleton, WI., took a stand in support of sexual violence programs and child victims, becoming a Major Donor at Reach Counseling Services' annual fundraiser, helping pull in over $27,000. Scott Geller, a former West Point staffer and President of Cow Country Enterprises (www.cowcountryenterprises.com) was quoted as saying, "Reach Counseling Services recognizes how precious these little children are, and through their wonderfully skilled and compassionate staff, bring healing, hope, and newness of life to thousands of children affected by abuse every year."

Oshkosh, WI (PRWEB) May 26, 2006 -- Sexual assault and sexual abuse happen every day to people of all ages, income levels and race, but children are particularly vulnerable. Reach Counseling Services' mission is to address issues related to sexual assault, abuse and incest in our community, so the healing process can begin. "Our agency mission is to end sexual violence and promote healing. To fulfill our mission, we have developed comprehensive services to meet the needs of both child and adult victims. Our tradition of innovative programming results in active response to the changing needs of the Fox Valley community. Services are available to all in need, and no one is turned away because of financial limitations," said Lyn Sporleder, Executive Director of Reach Counseling Services.

Proceeds from this year's fundraising event, coined "Just Desserts-Protecting Our Children Is A Sweet Choice," will benefit child victims of sexual violence programs throughout Wisconsin. "Cow Country Enterprises, provided us a phenomenal donation of web development packages valued at $600 each in support of our April fundraiser. We are so excited by their dedication to assisting non-profits grow," said Lyn Sporleder, Executive Director of Reach Counseling Services. Looking to next year, Scott Geller, President of Cow Country Enterprises was quoted as saying, "As a father of three, I cannot begin to imagine what a child of sexual violence must go through, but I thank God for the healing work of Reach Counseling. We are eager to participate again next year!"
