Delray Beach, FL (PRWEB) May 25, 2006
From the producers of the "So You Want To Be A Model" Contest with CosmoGIRL! Magazine and Supermodel Niki Taylor comes a new exciting opportunity that provides aspiring talent and their parents with valuable insight, information and the necessary understanding on what the world of modeling and the performing arts is all about. ModelCampUSA is a three-day workshop that will provide young girls between the ages of 13 – 24 and their family with the hands-on experience and the business tools needed to begin or advance a professional modeling and acting career. One lucky participant will have a chance to put what she learned over the weekend to the test and win a trip to New York City to interview with New York Model Management and L.A. Models, stay at their model apartment and go on a casting for CosmoGIRL! Magazine.
“Each year, thousands of girls are solicited in person, by mail, or even from surfing the Internet with the promise of an easy road to success in modeling and acting fields with the promise of being “discovered,” stated Gregory James, the producer of ESB Productions. “However, it is not an easy road, and in many cases they are misled. This happens even when parents are involved.”
How do you avoid the scams? What are the realities? What is the right path to success? Basically, how does an aspiring talent pursue a career legitimately?
Over the 3-day weekend event in Orlando, Florida, participants will find out the answers to these questions and develop the tools of the trade to begin a successful modeling and acting career. The seminar is designed for girls to learn about auditioning, marketing themselves to the right agencies in their area or abroad and learn valuable insight from industry icons including one of the top supermodels of all time Niki Taylor, New York/L.A. Models Director of Scouting Erin Lundgren, CosmoGIRL!’s Photo Editor Georgia Paralemos, Former IMG President Jan Planit, former ELITE LA President Valerie Trott, and Executive Producer & Publisher Gregory James. These industry pros have managed or currently manage the careers of the top supermodels including Cindy, Tyra, Heidi, Giselle, Elle, Omahyra and Valeria Mazza.
"Modeling is the one industry where there is no easy means to learn or study the in's and out's,” said Erin Lundgren, Director of Scouting for NY/LA Models. “As I travel the world meeting aspiring models, I see face to face how many people have no idea what the reality of modeling is. This is a great way to learn the facts and rule out the myths. What better way then to hear from people that have been and continue to live it day by day."
This year’s workshop will be held in Orlando Florida from June 9 – 11, 2006 at the Sheraton at SeaWorld located at 10100 International Drive, Orlando, Florida 32821. For more information, please call (561) 210-5947 or visit http://www.modelcampusa.com.
