Warwick, UK and Boston, MA (PRWEB) May 25, 2006 -- The BPM Group today announced the release of BPM Lifecycle resources designed to guide organizations in the development, management and ongoing evolution of business processes under the practice of Business Process Management.
Addressing marketplace issues that derive from complex and unproven models, the BPM Lifecycle resources from the BPM Group place the lifecycle of business processes into clear perspective – building from the practical and proven 8 Omega Framework for business process that is used throughout the world as the framework of choice in the practice of BPM.
The BPM Lifecycle resources cover the three primary phases of the lifecycle – deployment, iterative refinement, and step change – that constitute the lifecycle for business processes. The resources, prepared by Terry Schurter, BPM Group Chief Analyst, are extended resources to the 8 Omega Framework developed by the principals of the BPM Group – Steve Towers, Mark McGregor, David Lyneham-Brown and Terry Schurter.
“The BPM Lifecycle is far simpler than some have portrayed it” stated Schurter, “The lifecycle moves through three primary phases with activities in each phase that are essentially the same - though they build on each other in a natural way. Processes are deployed, move through iterative refinement then experience step change that pushes activities back to deployment. The only other element of the lifecycle is process retirement when a process no longer serves a meaningful purpose.”
BPM Lifecycle resources are available to all members of BPMG.org (www.bpmg.org). Regular members can download the BPM Lifecycle introduction including the BPM Lifecycle model. In addition, Professional members of BPMG.org have access to full BPM Lifecycle resource that provides additional best practice application and usage information including reference information to the 8 Omega Framework.
More information about the BPM Lifecycle is available on the bpmg.org website at www.bpmg.org/Zpost1564.php.
