The Magic of John Gabriel opens the 2006 Aremenian Awards, in Los Angeles

Join John Gabriel at the Aremenian Awards in Hollywood.

(PRWEB) May 26, 2006 -- John Gabriel is set to appear at the Aremenian Awards, Thursday May 25th at the Hollywood Palladium.

While most kids were sitting in front of the television, eyes locked on cartoons, John Gabriel was making magic. At an early age John taught himself his first magic trick, where he levitated himself in front of his family. From that moment John knew two things, magic was in his blood and he wanted to perform. After high school John decided to go FULL THROTTLE into his magic, When most sixteen year olds where learning to drive, John Gabriel started his own magic company, John Gabriel Magic; bringing together a full team of people to go on the road and tour. John, a Los Angeles native took advantage of living in the entertainment capitol of the world and went on tour all throughout Southern California.

John’s drive and determination paid off when he was offered to be the opening act on an NBC television special at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. John featured his romantic double levitation on NBC and was landed as “The Greatest Illusion of the Year.” After the airing of the special, John was offered commercials in the U.S., France, and Canada.

Missing an audience and performing, John headed to Branson Missouri where he was hailed as “Magic's hottest new star,” and the youngest headliner in the state; successfully performing a record-breaking 200 shows in three months time. "It was a ton of work, but we got through it. Most of all it was a great experience," John says. John has created and produced many original illusions for his live shows, including making a five thousand pound elephant disappear live on stage within seconds! John is a self-taught magician/illusionist He is able to take a Black and White dog and merge them together to become a Dalmatian! Plus, Gabriel risks his life submerged in 2000 pounds of water. “I call it Watertight, it took two years of development, and I’m proud to say it has never been attempted like this before in the history of magic.”

Despite his young age, John has put his magic to work and has already raised over $100,000 for various nonprofit organizations. “I feel it is important to know that you can use your own opportunities in life to help others as much as you can.” As a young boy John read magic books and looked up to the great magician Houdini and Keller, however, John’s inspiration comes from his audience, John’s first priority is to please his audiences, to him, there’s nothing better than the reaction from the crowd and how excited they get about an illusion. For that, he said, he would risk it all. “Magic is a universal art, and everyone can witness it and understand it without me having to say a word,” Gabriel said. “I want everyone to enjoy it, and I work hard to make that happen. There’s no greater challenge than that.” Critics have claimed that John Gabriel puts on a wonderful and powerful stage show. John Gabriel is a self-taught magician and businessman, bringing his tour all across the Country. John has taken his magic show from levitating himself in the family room to touring with three Semi Trucks full of equipment and a full crew. John Gabriel is a passionate performer and a determined individual.
