Jewelry Artist, Shari Cabra, adds more one-of-a-kind pieces to her line just in time for May graduations and June weddings.

An artist for more than 30 years, Shari Cabra’s, "Created by Shari" line of distinctive jewelry is unique. Cabra transforms expertly crafted silverware patterns of yesteryear into one-of-a-kind new "wearable memories."

"Nothing gives me more pleasure than when someone hands me a piece of sliver that belonged to her grandmother and asks me to create a wearable keepsake from it," says Cabra.
    
At first Cabra centered her line of jewelry around intricate and ever-popular angel pins. Since then she has expanded her line to include bracelets, pins, leather-corded necklaces, and earrings. She also makes useable works of art such as letter openers and hanging ornaments.
    
This year Cabra introduced "Watch Slides" to her line. Cabra knew she had another marketable piece of jewelry when she created this new item. The watch, which looks like an ornate pendant, hangs upside down from the end of a silver-plated spoon handle. "Nurses came to mind while designing this piece," says Cabra. "They have their hands in water so much so, they can’t wear wrist watches. A Watch Slide can hang around their necks."

Also new to the "Created by Shari" line for 2006 are bookmarks. Cabra has again transformed pieces of vintage silverware into functional pieces of art.

Cabra’s line is so diverse that it appeals to a wide variety of wholesale markets – everything from gift and jewelry shops that carry more ornate filigree styles of jewelry to shops that prefer more sleek contemporary styles.
