LAS VEGAS, NV (PRWEB) May 26, 2006 -–
The Palms Casino Resort, Brenden Theatres and N9NE Group (ghostbar & RAIN Nightclub) will host the World Premiere of “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call” produced by Astrablu Media, Inc. (http://www.astrablu.com) and starring Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie, American Wedding, The Rules of Attraction), Jenny Mollen (Return of the Living Dead 5: Rave to the Grave, WB’s Angel), Nicole Eggert (Baywatch Hawaii, Blown Away, Siberia), Chelsea Handler (The Chelsea Handler Show on the “E!” Channel, star of Oxygen’s Girls Behaving Badly), Diedrich Bader (Napoleon Dynamite, Ice Age, Office Space, The Drew Carey Show), Andrew Katos (Push), and with cameos by Jonathan Winters and Paul Mazursky. The event will take place at Brenden Theatres at the Palms on Thursday night, June 1.
From their first blockbuster classic hit “Animal House” to their string of perennial favorites “Vacation” pictures, “Christmas Vacation”, “European Vacation,” “Loaded Weapon,” and it’s most recent hit “Van Wilder,” National Lampoon represents a legacy of comedy films and entertainment that spans three decades.
Following in that tradition, “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call” is a raunchy comedy about a group of friends who start a fake casting agency to meet women. The film is written and directed by Martin Guigui and produced by Josi Konski.
“It’s a pleasure to roll out the red carpet for National Lampoon,” stated Palms owner George Maloof. “I think Hollywood has recognized how the thrill of Las Vegas can enhance the premiere experience. With our extravagant events for “Elektra”, “George Romero’s Land of the Dead”, and “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo” in 2005, the Palms Casino Resort has hosted more World Premieres than any other Las Vegas venue.”
“We are truly excited about holding this World Premiere at the fabulous Palms Casino Resort,” stated Josi Konski, the film’s producer. “The Palms is a world renowned resort that embodies all that is cool and hip and is an ideal place to launch this feature film.”
The exclusive event starts at 7:00 p.m. with the red carpet hosted by Robin Leach and the arrival of the stars from the film including Thomas Ian Nicholas, Chelsea Handler, Diedrich Bader, Nicole Eggert, Jenny Mollen, and Andrew Katos. Others attending will include film director Martin Guigui, producer Josi Konski, Brenden Theatre owner Johnny Brenden, and a host of beautiful “Cattle Call” girls. At approximately 8:00 p.m., “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call” will premiere in Brenden Theatres. Following the screening, RAIN Nightclub beginning at 11:00 p.m. will become “Cattle Call” central as the film’s stars will join the producers of the film and make final selections for winning participants to receive acting contracts in the production company’s next motion picture project.
On Tuesday, May 30, the Palms Casino Resort will celebrate “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call” co-star Jenny Mollen’s 27th birthday in the ghostbar. The event will be hosted by “Cattle Call” co-star Chelsea Handler of “The Chelsea Handler Show” on E! Entertainment.
Aspiring actresses are encouraged to submit their headshots for a shot at an acting contract with Astrablu Media, producers of “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call” and a chance to appear in a future motion picture production. Cast members and the film’s producers will be on hand to accept submissions at the Pool at the Palms on Tuesday, May 30 from 12 noon to 5 p.m. Applicants will receive complimentary admission to the ghostbar that evening to Meet and Greet producers from Astrablu Media and the opportunity to be selected to attend Thursday night’s premiere and walk the red carpet with the film’s stars.
National Lampoon films have generated over $500 million in worldwide sales which include theatrical, video, and DVD as well as cable and network broadcasts. The Lampoon branding brings instant recognition to audiences around the world and is one of the few entertainment companies able to reach several generations, spanning a wide demographic that includes the 15 to 55 age brackets.
