Pima Medical Institute in Albuquerque Hires Henry Oh as Program Director for Respiratory Therapy

Albuquerque, NM (PRWEB) May 27, 2006 -- Pima Medical Institute, 2201 San Pedro NE, Building 3, Suite 100 in Albuquerque announced they have hired Henry Oh as the Program Director of their Respiratory Therapy program.

Oh has a series of accomplishments including being a member of the Registry of Heritage Who’s Who in New York in 2006, Associate Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine in 2005, Associate Fellow of the New York Academy of Medicine, 2005, Associate Fellow of the American Academy of Project Management, 2005, as well as Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education in 2005.

Prior to joining PMI, Oh worked as the Director of Clinical Education at Maric College. He has worked as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center, as a Medical Technologist/Supervisor at Summit Medical Center and the RT Department Manager at Prince Abdullah Hospital in Saudi Arabia.

“A huge component in having a successful program is having an outstanding staff,” said Popie White, campus director of the career college. “Henry’s credentials and enthusiasm for respiratory therapy is going to take our program to an even higher level of excellence. We are very fortunate to have him as a member of our team.”

Graduates of the 88 credit-hour Respiratory Therapy program receive an Associate of Occupational Science degree. Respiratory Therapy is one of the fastest growing occupations according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The BLS also states the Respiratory Therapy profession is expected to add some 37,837 new jobs between now and 2012, an increase of 35 percent. Entry-level employment opportunities are available in hospitals, medical centers, medical equipment companies, home health agencies, sub-acute, and extended care facilities.
