"Oreo And Braun: XOB, The Full Circle Quest" Released as Novel for Young Readers
Children’s Entertainer Larry Whitler, from the duo Robin And The Giant, has written a novel for young readers that teaches lessons in human rights, prejudice, discrimination, and American history in a fun and entertaining tale of two boys who accidentally stumble through a time portal to the year 1886.
Ocala, FL (PRWEB) May 28, 2006 -- Better known as “The Giant”, from the children’s duo Robin And The Giant, Larry Whitler has published a novel for young readers that he wrote for his own son, Alex, when Alex was just 9 years old.
The novel is titled “Oreo And Braun: XOB, The Full Circle Quest” (ISBN: 1-4116-6080-3). Two nine year old boys, named Oreo and Braun, accidentally discover a time portal when they attempt to return a walking cane to an old man in the restroom of a restaurant. They step back into 1941 but are unable to return to their own time (1996) when they carry the cane through the doorway. To return to their own time the boys step back in time an additional 55 years to the year 1886. In the process the boys meet a series of characters and some important lessons are learned including the absurdity of prejudice.
