Hollywood, Calif. Nacho Libre fans will now be able to create their own Nacho Libre comics and comic books from key movie scenes, characters, tag lines, audio and graphics from the film. The Special Edition retail box version of Nacho Libre Comic Book Creator Drag n’ Drop Comics™ software will launch in key retail locations across the United States, Canada and Mexico after the June 16, 2006 theatrical release in the United States.

Jack Black stars as Ignacio (friends call him Nacho), a cook by day in a Mexican orphanage, who moonlights as a lucha libre wrestler to raise money for the orphans in this comedy from the creators of “Napoleon Dynamite” and the writer of “The School of Rock.”
Nacho Libre Comic Book Creator drag n’ drop software is an innovative interactive entertainment application that enables fans to use their imaginations and actual Nacho Libre movie content to create their own Nacho Libre comics and comic books, which can then be posted to a blog, or social network, emailed to a friend or printed in a comic book form at home or the office. Comic Book Creator users can drag and drop images, icons, tag line symbols, audio clips and artwork into a selection of over 500 different layout and design templates, then combine their creation with the storyline to make their own Nacho Libre comics.

Paramount Pictures presents a Nickelodeon Movies/Black & White production of a Jared Hess film, “Nacho Libre,” starring Jack Black. The film also stars Ana de la Reguera, Héctor Jiménez, Richard Montoya, and Peter Stormare, and is directed by Jared Hess. The screenplay is written by Jared Hess & Jerusha Hess & Mike White. “Nacho Libre” is produced by Mike White, Jack Black, Julia Pistor, and David Klawans. The executive producer is Steve Nicolaides.
