Marlton, NJ (PRWEB) May 31, 2006 -- On Monday, June 12, 2006, the Children’s Healthcare Foundation of South Jersey (CHF), host sponsor Commerce Bank, and media chair Comcast SportsNet’s Lance Crawford present the “21st Golf Classic to Help SJ’s Kids,” at Little Mill Country Club, in Marlton, NJ. The classic has contributed to the over $500,000 the CHF has awarded to South Jersey’s children. Activities include an appearance by the Sixers Dancers, on-course massage, $10,000 contest, and more.

“Delaware Valley golfers have helped us raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to create a bright, healthy future for our most precious, and fragile, resource – our children,” said Executive Director Kory Michael Aversa. “The ‘Golf Classic’ provides an excellent opportunity to experience a challenging, private course, network with top movers and shakers, and win tens of thousands of dollars in prizes!”

Registration begins at 11am, lunch at 11:30am, and shot-gun start at 12:30pm. Golf registration is only $275, which includes green/ cart fees, lunch, course refreshments, cocktail hour, open bar, gifts, gratuities, dinner and more. Sponsorships packages begin at $200. Dinner-only tickets are $90. Lunch-only tickets are $35.

Outing activities include hole-in-one contests sponsored by the Insurance Office of America and Holman Automotive. Lois David-Corbi, PT will provide sports massage between lunch and dinner. Pictures will be taken with the Sixers Dancers during the cocktail hour and dinner. Comcast SportsNet’s reporter and anchor Lance Crawford will be on hand during the classic to meet and thank golfers, and serve as emcee during the awards ceremony.

CHF sponsors programs and services that benefit the health, development and other needs of South Jersey’s children, as well as advancing and supporting South Jersey health facilities, research and resources. This year’s tournament focuses attention on projects for at-risk youth, specifically:

· Funds for a group home which serves at-risk girls from a variety of backgrounds and situations who have experienced trauma, neglect, abuse and abandonment. The adolescent girls living in the home are able to turn their lives around and become contributing members of the community;
· CARE PAKS program for foster children moved in the middle of the night, and during emergency situations, with nothing but the clothes on their back and little but what a social worker can place in a bag during the few moments they have before removal from the home. PAKS include items of both necessity and support, comfort and caring – and promote free services from our healthcare partners for the children’s health and well being;
· New and used clothing, books, blankets, baby supplies, toys and other items for children who would normally go without – and help parents who are in counseling and at-risk programs use these items to better care for their children;
· A program for children who have lost a parent or loved one – where grieving children learn to express their emotions, process their grief and learn new coping skills.

The “Classic” is sponsored by host sponsor Commerce Bank. Supporting sponsors include the Musumeci Family Foundation; the Children's Regional Hospital at Cooper University Hospital; Voorhees Pediatric Facility and Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital; Acorn Dental Associates PA; Alloy, Silverstein, Shapiro, Adams, Mulford, Cicalese, Wilson & Co.; Bob Meyer Communities; Brendan Corr; and South Jersey Magazine.
