Carematix, the leading provider of wireless telehealth monitors, today announced the appointment of Gregg Raybuck, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Alan R. Townsend, vice president of the home care division.
Raybuck is a seasoned health care veteran who joins Carematix with more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and management for leading health care companies. Most recently, he served as the vice president of sales and marketing for telemonitoring firm CardioNet, San Diego, Calif. He was formerly president of Lifewatch, Buffalo Grove, Ill., and of the Cardiac Services Division of Matria Healthcare, Marietta, Ga. Raybuck also held senior roles with Carelink Corp., Twinlab, Pharmacia Opthalmics and Cooper Vision. Rayback received his bachelor’s degree at Thomas Edison State College, Trenton, N.J.

Townsend brings extensive sales, business development and management experience in the healthcare and medical device industries. He has been in the telemedicine and telehealth industry for 14 years. He was vice president of sales at CyberCare and HomMed, both in the remote patient monitoring industry. Prior to that, as an entrepreneur, he founded and led Response Vehicles, an ambulance and medical supply distribution company, for more than 20 years. Townsend also worked in various capacities at Motorola Communications and Lexicor. He is a graduate of City University, New York, N.Y.
