Headquartered in the city of Riverside, the company’s new regional operations will focus on new home and community development primarily in Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Larry I. Smith has been named president of this newly defined region and is quickly building a team of construction, marketing, customer service and financial experts. A veteran in the homebuilding industry, Smith has worked for William Lyon for 11 years. Most recently he was in charge of the company’s San Diego region which included most of Riverside County. Next month, Lyon Homes Inland Empire management team will move into new regional headquarters located in the Riverwalk office park in Riverside.

In total, the Lyon Homes Inland Empire region has nine new home communities currently selling and another four will be opened this year. Among those already selling are The Peaks at Citrus Heights in Fontana; Breaburn, Crofton and Westland at Chapman Heights in Yucaipa; and Sequoia at Wolf Creek in Temecula. The region anticipates closing over 600 new homes this year.
