Vyew Enhances Free, Web 2.0 Online Conferencing with New VyewShow

VyewShow allows users to create, organize, and share custom photo slideshows set to MP3 tracks online

Berkeley, Calif. (PRWEB) June 1, 2006 -- Vyew™ (www.vyew.com) – a free, Web 2.0 collaboration and conferencing solution – announced the release of VyewShow, a new feature that allows users to collaboratively create, organize, and share custom photo slideshows synced to MP3 tracks.

Vyew, pronounced “view,” is a real-time Web conferencing and always-on collaboration platform that facilitates instant visual-based communication. Vyew's multimedia workspace enables shared viewing of presentations, files, photos as well as the desktop without the need for client downloads or installations. Vyew also provides all necessary tools to host effective and dynamic webinars including whiteboarding, annotating, text chatting, and phone conferencing for business use or with your social network.

“Online meeting solutions are still expensive and cumbersome these days,” acknowledged Henry Hon at Vyew. “We saw the need for a free, easy-to-use, browser-based collaboration tool that can be accessed from any computer at any time with innovative and useful tools to conduct more productive meetings in internet time. Vyew gives users a collaborative environment to share their ideas, visually express strategies and thoughts, and communicate with partners virtually – for free! And with VyewShow, users can now present their content in a more engaging, exciting, and memorable package.”

Within seconds, users can start an online meeting session, where up to 20 participants can share, annotate, and save files/photos (.doc, .xls, .ppt, .jpg, .pdf, etc.) in real-time.
Vyew enables whiteboarding, desktop sharing and capture, client-less operability and session persistence – which allows users to start/stop/save any presentation, anytime. Meeting participants can also communicate via instant text chat, pull up Yahoo! Maps and share Google searches.

With VyewShow, photos can be uploaded directly from a user’s desktop or via popular online photo galleries, including Flickr, Kodak Gallery and Yahoo! Photos. Photos from multiple users’ galleries can be downloaded onto the same Vyew session and arranged into a slideshow. MP3s can also be placed directly in presentations, which can all be stored on the complimentary remote storage. The VyewShow can then be emailed through a clickable link or published and embed in any html-based page – from blogs to social network sites, such as MySpace.

Vyew is currently in public BETA and now available for instant conferencing and always-on collaboration. Additional information of how Vyew stacks-up against the competition can be found online at http://vyew.com/content/Main.ComparisonChart
