How Far Would You Go to Help the People of Darfur? This Man is Willing to Climb Mt Kilimanjaro

A one million dollar fundraiser to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa to help eight deserving International Charities.

Castaic, CA (PRWEB) June 4, 2006 -- It is the 21st century, yet an estimated 300 thousand people in Darfur have been slaughtered by rebel militia. Another 3.5 million Darfuris are dependent on foreign aid for their survival. Who will help?

The unlikely trio of Mark Victor Hansen, Robert Allen, natural healer and inspirational speaker Wajid (WA-JEED) and a number of other caring humanitarians are going to great heights to climb to the top of mighty Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and raise $1 million for Save Darfur and seven other deserving international charities.

Other charities included in this noble effort are Mercy Corp, OXFAM, Doctors without Borders, Save the Children, Humane Society, National Wildlife Federation and Invisible Children.

Wajid says it’s all part of “Enlightened Millionaires” – successful individuals giving freely of themselves to help humanity by climbing the highest mountaintop in Africa to raise $1 million dollars for charity.

“If we turn our heads and look away and hope that it will all disappear then they will – all of them.”
Actor George Clooney
