New, Improved Interesting Thing of the Day Web Site Launches

Interesting Thing of the Day has returned to active publication. The completely revamped Web site features not only new content but an improved design and useful new features.

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) June 2, 2006 -- Now in its fourth year of publication, a new and improved version of Interesting Thing of the Day (http://itotd.com/) launches today. With a refreshed look and logo, new feature articles, and many improvements to the site's infrastructure, Interesting Thing of the Day expands its capability to provide readers with high-quality content.

Devoted to discovering and describing intriguing yet little-known topics, Interesting Thing of the Day is an entertaining and informative resource for intellectually curious Web seekers. In this virtual museum, readers can find exhibits on a wide range of subjects, including curious foodstuffs, such as the orange balls of fungus from Argentina known as Pan del Indio; interesting places, such as California's bizarre Winchester Mystery House; and technological innovations such as automatic transmissions for bicycles. Other articles cover topics as diverse as history, language, nature, and music. Each entry is a thoroughly researched, feature-length article, complete with references for readers who want additional information.

Says Interesting Thing of the Day founder, Joe Kissell, "Readers use this site to do a variety of things: from finding an idea for a new business, to researching travel plans, to simply expanding their knowledge of the world. With this new version of the Web site, we've not only added new content but made the information more accessible in order to give readers a better experience."

In addition to fresh, original content and a brand new look for the site, readers will find links to download podcasts of any article so they can listen to Interesting Thing of the Day while on the go. The new version of Interesting Thing of the Day also takes advantage of new Web technologies to facilitate finding information, and features enhancements to its RSS feed, which includes one free podcast per week. By purchasing an optional $10 subscription, readers can receive the full text of every article by email plus a private, ad-free RSS feed with podcasts of each article.
