Internet Broadcasting, the largest national platform of TV station web sites, today announced the appointment of David J. Ford to director of strategic sales. The announcement was made by Paul Bremer, executive vice president of sales for Internet Broadcasting, which publishes 74 TV station web sites for America’s premier broadcasters: NBC, Cox Broadcasting, Hearst-Argyle, The McGraw Hill Companies, Post-Newsweek, Scripps Howard, and Capitol Broadcasting Company.
In his new role, Ford will manage Internet Broadcasting’s growing TV/Web convergence advertising business. Ford will develop relationships with blue chip advertisers and augment the company’s national advertising sales growth. Ford will continue to be based in Chicago and oversee the company’s sales relationship with NBC’s WMAQ TV. Previously with Internet Broadcasting, Ford was responsible for the online sales growth and development for 11 partner TV stations as a regional sales director.

Ford is a 23-year veteran of broadcast and online media, holding several sales management positions with CNBC, Lifetime Television, and Viacom among others. Ford has a B.A. in Communications from Boston College and attended Northwestern University’s Kellogg Management Institute.
Additional appointment announced:
· Tara Shepley was promoted to account executive from sales assistant. Before joining Internet Broadcasting, Shepley worked as a radio account executive with Infinity Broadcasting in Chicago. She will be working out of Internet Broadcasting’s Chicago office and will manage relationships with premiere interactive agencies in the Midwest.
