More Than Just A Karate Kid

Ancient Karate Master To Visit Canada (Mississuga) - From June 1st- 12th we have an international ambassador, Mr. Tetsuhiro Hokama - PhD, travelling from Okinawa (the birthplace of Karate), Japan to the GTA area on a Athletic Sportsmanship Tour. He will be teaching seminars and lectures from June 5th until 11th as well as meeting with Mississauga Mayor, Hazel MacCallion on June 5th plus a tentative meeting wth Toronto Mayor, David Miller to discuss sportsmanship in Athletcis.

Mississauga, Ontario (PRWEB) June 2, 2006 -- From June 1st- 12th we have an international ambassador, Mr. Tetsuhiro Hokama - PhD, traveling from Okinawa (the birthplace of Karate), Japan to the GTA area on a Athletic Sportsmanship Tour. He will be teaching seminars and lectures from June 5th until 11th as well as meeting with Mississauga Mayor, Hazel MacCallion on June 5th plus a tentative meeting with Toronto Mayor, David Miller to discuss sportsmanship in Athletics.

Okinawa is the birthplace of karate and Mr. Hokama, a 9th degree blackbelt, and author of over 8 books, DVD and magazines is available for interviews to discuss sports, athletics, and martial arts.

In his younger days, Mr. Hokama has also been the personal driver and bodyguard for a vice governor of Okinawa. He is also a Japanese calligraphy master.

Mr Hokama started training in the martial arts at the young age of 8 years old and has over 50 years of expertise and experience in the many positive benefits that the sport of karate offers.

Mr. Hokama, a retired high school teacher, is well aware that bullying is a concern and has an interesting perspective on non-violent solutions to safe bully management.
