F4Wonline.com Celebrates First Anniversary
Wrestling website celebrates with redesign, new products and 99 cent premium content offer.
WOODINVILLE, WA (PRWEB) June 2, 2006 -- Figure Four Weekly, LLC yesterday celebrated the first anniversary of its official website, F4Wonline.com. Launched on June 1st, 2005 as the online home of its weekly wrestling newsletter, the site has grown to include an archive of over 215 past issues; three online radio shows, including Figure Four Daily, the Bryan & Vinny Show, and the Adam & Mike Audio Nightmare, all of which are podcast on iTunes; an archive of nearly 200 past radio shows; daily news updates; TV reviews and columns by some of the top wrestling and MMA writers on the Internet; and a very successful store featuring T-shirts, DVDs, hats and other apparel.
"When we first created the website I could not have imagined what it would become, and I certainly never could have imagined it would grow this much in just one year," said editor Bryan Alvarez. "We hosted it on a server in my brother-in-law Tony Leder's bedroom, and within a few months we had to upgrade to a virtual dedicated server, then a few months later we outgrew that. This year has been so exciting that it's hard to remember a time in my life when the website didn't exist."
To celebrate the second anniversary, the website was expanded and redesigned, with new banners created by graphic artist Jose Payan. Several new products were released, including "F4W Empire" dog tags and an archive of radio shows from October of 2005. The site is also running a two-day premium area promotion, offering first-time subscribers worldwide a month of full website access for 99 cents.
"We've got a model similar to the New York Times," Alvarez said. "About 70 percent of the website content is free to access, but members get full access to all of our radio show and newsletter archives, premium articles by our most popular columnist Vince Verhei, and new radio shows pretty much seven days per week."
F4Wonline.com has quickly grown to become one of the most popular stops for pro-wrestling and mixed martial arts fans worldwide.
