Business blog, Mediation Mensch, was recognized for addressing important yet overlooked business growth issues in the field of mediation.

Mediation Mensch was selected as a noteworthy blog when The National Institute for Advanced Conflict Resolution announced the winners of its annual review of mediation blogs on May 24, 2006.

According to JJ Johnston of NIACR, “The recognition was well-deserved. Your blog addresses an important but sometimes overlooked aspect of mediation, i.e. that mediators often need to be good business men and women in order to be successful over the long haul.”

Mediation Mensch chronicles the work life of Dina Beach Lynch, conflict management expert and Ombudsman, who has run several successful alternative dispute resolution (ADR) businesses since the early 90s. Besides sharing her triumphs and pitfalls, Lynch also offers recommendations that help aspiring mediators and ADR professionals save time, effort and money.

“As mediation becomes a more common tool for problem-solving in a wide range of areas, the need for well-managed, technologically sophisticated and innovative ADR practices will grow. My work is about removing obstacles so fellow mediators can build strong businesses to meet that need,” says Lynch., which features teleseminars that tackle tough problems like marketing, pricing and building a niche practice, will launch June, 2006.    Formerly the Corporate Ombudsman for Fleet Bank, Lynch is also the founder and CEO of, an online conflict management toolkit for small companies.
