SAN FRANCISCO (PRWEB) June 5, 2006 -–
Every pet lover knows at least one word of French: “toutoumania” which is slang for the phenomenal multi-billion euro trend where the dog or toutou is affectionately spoiled. And now -- direct from Paris, the home of haute cuisine and haute couture, where pets are as welcome as people in shops, restaurants and just about everywhere else -- Chic Paws™ brings American pet enthusiasts the French way of demonstrating love: with luxurious accessories made to the highest standard of European design, fabrication and decoration. These beautiful haute couture designs are expertly crafted by professional artisans of the Paris ateliers.
Chic Paws’™ was created in 2003 with the intent of importing Parisian style and joie de vivre for toutou . “It was very difficult to find pet accessories that were of the same quality easily here in the US” says Elisabeth Dupar, CEO of Chic Paws™, who discovered her Parisian business partners, Stephanie Charpenet and Cecile Guillemot, while traveling with her dog Santa Maria in France. “Once you’ve experienced these pet luxury lines from Paris you and your toutou will want more.” After ongoing communications with Ms. Charpenet and Ms. Guillemot who co-own Les Cadors, (an upscale luxury pet boutique in Paris, (one in the Marais and one in Saint Germain) and who are opening a third boutique in Aix en Provence this summer), we decided to join forces and introduce these Parisian designers of canine and feline haute couture to the US and Canadian market.
Luxury is evident in every detail of Chic Paws’™ Collection I canine haute couture line designed by Junon de Bavolle. Hand-tailored collars, leashes and harnesses are created from the softest, strongest leather or lambskin in an array of colors, all glittering with genuine Swarovski crystals, pearls or crystal baubles.
Collection II designed by Une Vie de Chien coddles with collars and harnesses formed from the softest suede, to the sleekest fur and snakeskin. All items are exquisitely tailored, eschewing gems or crystal for a quietly elegant, conservative look. Don’t miss the fluffy comfort of the Collection II dog bed, cheerful and bright in ice white, raspberry or panther fake fur.
Perhaps most luxe of all, Collection III Junon de Bavolle for felines, its tiny collars adorned with genuine pearls, feathers, Swarovski crystal and other finery.
Newest of all is Chic Paws’™ Parfumerie, offering the Oh My Dog! veterinarian-approved French fragrances for toutou and le chat formulated by Dog Generation, Paris. Oh My Dog!” is a fresh, woodsy floral blend with notes of rosewood, freesia, sandalwood and vanilla, while Oh My Cat! combines complex layers of mandarin orange, bergamot, rosewood, green leaves, jasmine, magnolia, freesia, cedar, sandalwood, amber, and musk.
The complete lines of Junon de Bavolle and Une Vie de Chien, along with other Paris designers will be represented this summer by Chic Paws™ and Les Cadors at New York Pet Fashion Week from August 19-20 in booth G118. According to Mario Di Fante, the Executive Director of Pet Fashion Week, The industry has long waited for this - a fashion week committed to one of the fastest growing fashion markets in the world: The pet market. http://www.petfashionweek.com.
