Philanthropy Rocks The UK
Rock band Philanthropy have burst onto the London scene in an impressive way having recently performed at The Forum and The Grand. Adding to this the national radio play they are getting and they are surely tipped to be the next big thing!
London, UK (PRWEB) June 5, 2006 -- Philanthropy are a five piece guitar based indie rock band from the Guildford area, just to the west of London, England, who have been gigging for just over 1 year. In that time they have Headlined Downstairs @ The Garage, appeared at The Forum, Kentish Town and The Grand, Clapham.
A recent (Apr 2006) review of their gig at The Forum, Kentish Town by The Mag said "Philanthropy bounded onto the stage with the energy of their diminutive years to commence their three guitar rock set...The set picked up with a slow-melodic track that contained more creative flair [than the first two tracks]. Contrast and space was used to create a really atmospheric tune with great vocals. The theme continued for the next track, which was much heavier and my opinion of the band started to slide from flippancy to genuine interest. The primal-screaming vocal breaks and the crashing drums started to come together to create a sound more unique."
Their debut album - Dead Dogmas is available direct from the band or via download from Emusic and other stores.
