Apple® merchandising offers FrameForge 3D Studio previsualization software in 'media creation center' retail locations as well as the online Apple Store as of June 4. Apple associates at the Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and NYC stores will be trained to demo FrameForge to their media customers.
Store Facilitators and associates will participate in a 1.5-hour web seminar to explore the workflow of making of film, video, and commercial advertising. The seminar shows how FrameForge augments production at all levels including scriptwriting, storyboarding, marketing, production planning, directing, special effects and editing. This enables associates to effectively interpret problems and offer solutions to media-oriented customers.
FrameForge takes media creators beyond 2D storyboarding to the power of 3D Previsualization. Big budget films have long used 3D previsualization to save time and money at every stage of the production process. FrameForge's optically accurate 3D rendering brings this power to the desktop, supporting exploration, development and ultimate realization of optimal visual design for film, TV or commercial advertising projects.
3D Made Easy --
FrameForge 3D Studio is so easy to use that anyone can be up and running within minutes, no 3D modeling, illustration or animation experience required!
- Intuitive Control Room interface speaks the language of filmmakers, instantly enhancing productivity. Supports a super-efficient optional 'game pad" controller as well!
- Room Builder™ makes building sets and interiors as easy as outlining a quick blueprint and clicking the 'Build' button. Once made, sets can be explored from any angle or POV just like the real thing.
- Top down Blueprint View enables placement of actors and set objects like sliding them across a chessboard.
- Predefined 'Relationships' take the work out of complex posing of seating actors in chairs, cars, or placing items in hands.
"I consider FrameForge the finest previsualization software I've ever seen."
- Bill Dill, ASC (American Society of Cinematographers)
Real Previsualization, Not Just Storyboarding --
Unlike 2D storyboards and storyboarding software, FrameForge doesn't rely on forced perspective and guesswork to imagine what a camera will see. Its virtual cameras are thoroughly grounded in the physics of optics and the realities of lenses, locations and camera packages. That means that shots prepared with FrameForge are guaranteed to be shootable on the set and with camera equipment specified.
Promote, Sell and Convey Visual Design --
Beautifully printed storyboards in optically accurate 3D, cartoon or sketch formats will impress clients and prep cast and crew. Storyboard frames can be exported to Macromedia® Flash™, Keynote™, Final Cut™, navigable HTML pages or PDF to create compelling animatic demonstrations of ideas, storylines and special effects.
"An executive at Twentieth Century liked my script, but he asked 'how would you shoot it?' I whipped out a storyboard created with FrameForge and increased my credibility a thousand percent. FrameForge showed I knew what I wanted and how to get it." - Bill Ferber, Writer/Director
